Proofreading Proofreading of translated texts are performed free of charge. Depending on the complexity of the text, at times a second (native) proofreader is necessary. Rates We translate regular texts from € 0.14 per word, technical texts from € 0.15 and editing from € 0.07, excluding VAT (BTW). Certified translations We also provide certified translations of your official documents at competitive rates. Price calculator Under the "Price calculation" option you can get a rough estimate of the cost of your project, depending on the source and target languages and whether it is a translation or editing job. This electronically generated price is only an estimate so that you can get a general idea of how much your project will cost. After you have sent the documents with the form under "Quote request", you will receive an official quote. What is Computer Assisted Translation?
Computer assisted should not be confused with automated translations. (MT - Machine Translation). Machine Translations are completely useless and only create more work for a translator. All professional translators use translation memory software developed especially for the industry. These are software programmes designed to support translators, not replace them. In a highly technical text, for example, each term serves to refer unambiguously to one particular concept, part, etc., throughout the entire document or series of documents. As far as quality and usability of the translation is concerned, consistency is critical to achieving accuracy. Consistency is aided through the composition of word lists by translation tools. This also reduces the time it takes to complete a project. Our translators use TRADOS or other translation tools that memorize how particular terms were translated before. This terminology is interchangeable and helps preserve your own, unique style.
